No. If you do not hold a BOD position you must sign up to be on a committee. We are a co-op school that is run by parents. Everyone has a job to do in the school in order for the school to be run efficiently and cost effectively.
Different committees are:

- ►Playground and Equipment - Upkeep of fenced in area between Sept. to Nov. and April to June. Includes picking up garbage and raking leaves bi-weekly or as needed. Makes arrangements for necessary repairs for equipment and playground with Board approval for cost.
- ►Fundraising- Assists Vice-Chair with fundraising
- ►Events- Coordinates refreshments for the work party, parent meetings, open houses, breakfast with Santa, Easter egg hunt, and other events throughout the year. Plans social events during off-school hours for parents, children and/or families. (ex. hikes, wine tasting party)
- ►Housekeeping- Cleans the classroom once a month per teacher’s list of cleaning duties. Includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing dress-up clothes/blankets, washing of small toys, etc
- ►Photography- Photograph activities in the classroom and on EVERY field trip. Work with the publicity and publications directors to include the photographs in publicity events and newsletters. Also makes posters to display photos of field trips.
- ►Publicity- Assists Publicity Director in promoting the nursery school with posters, pamphlets, newspaper articles, etc. and with advertising open houses and other events.
- ►Scheduler- Schedules individuals to assist the teacher in the classroom.
